Fact 1:

The first known Christmas card was sent in 1611 by German physician Michael Maier to James I of England and his son Henry Frederick, Prince of Wales.

Fact 2:

In 1965, "Jingle Bells" was the first song ever played in space. It was played during NASA's Gemini 6A flight.

Fact 3:

In 2011, the Guinness World Record for the largest Christmas stocking 51.35 m (168.5 ft) long and 21.63 m (70.9 ft) wide was created in Italy to raise money for a charity.

Fact 4:

The first Christmas lights were created by Edward H. Johnson in 1882. He used a string of 80 red, white and blue light bulbs.
